Get into the holiday spirit this month with Boulder Swing Dance! We are taking a break the second half of the month (many of you will be traveling!), BUT before that happens, we have some crazy specialty classes planned for you! This gives you the opportunity to try out styles of dance that we don't typically teach here at Boulder Swing. We will resume our normal lesson series the second week of January.
Mondays at Kake's
Each specialty workshop is two hours long and runs from 7-9pm, meaning you have some difficult choices to make! These workshops are meant to be at an introductory level, but if helps if you've completed at least our Level 1 session.
Monday, December 4th:
--St. Louis Shag with Ellie Blair & Anthony Carusiello
--Blues/Slow Lindy with Skye Festog & Freeman Bacon
Monday, December 11th
--Collegiate Shag with Brittney Caraway & Freeman Bacon
--Tango for Lindy Hoppers with Jes Cutler & Anthony Carusiello
SOCIAL DANCE
After class, from 9pm-11pm we'll have our regular weekly dance, but note the new ending time! So many dancers have been staying later that we've decided to extend the dance portion of the evening until 11pm! Staying for the social dance is a great way to try out moves you learn from lessons, as well as get to know your classmates, and it's free if you take a class.
ON DECEMBER 4th Jeremy Mohney and his band are playing for us, so stick around for some great live music!
DECEMBER 11th will double as our Festivus party. Bring your holiday cheer and celebrate with us!
Wednesdays at SKEYE Brewing
Our month of specialty workshops extends to SKEYE as well! As with Monday classes, a new session of regular classes at SKEYE will begin the second week of January.
Wednesday, December 6th
--Learn the Doin' the Jive Solo Routine with Sarah Siertle & Anthony Carusiello
Wednesday, December 13th
--Learn the Tranky Doo Solo Routine with Sarah Siertle & Anthony Carusiello
December is a short month for us at Boulder Swing Dance.
We didn't plan crazy workshops or social outings this month because so many tend to be gone or too busy to dance. Check out the dances in Denver if you absolutely can't live without swing until January! Many (read: almost all) of our staff members will be dancing out of town for the rest of December. If you're visiting elsewhere for the holidays, look up swing dancing in your destination city- there's a good chance you'll be able to catch some dances with the locals. We can't wait to see you again in the new year, and thank you so much for being a part of Boulder Swing Dance in 2017!
